Sara Yunus is a Partner at Antonyan Miranda, a litigation trial attorney, a Certified Family Law Specialist, and the Managing Attorney of Antonyan Miranda’s Orange County office. Ms. Yunus has successfully litigated a broad range of family law matters, from child custody and domestic violence restraining orders to complex asset division and business valuation. Ms. Yunus garnered international media recognition for her role in successfully obtaining a $150,000 judgment of past-due child support for her 73 year old client, following 50 years of non-payment.

Ms. Yunus has been a presenter on the topic of trial and litigation skills for the San Diego County Bar Association, and has served as a litigation mentor to Antonyan Miranda’s incoming litigation attorneys. In 2018, Ms. Yunus became the inaugural recipient of Antonyan Miranda’s Golden Sledgehammer Award in recognition of her zealous courtroom advocacy. Ms. Yunus has been designated as a Super Lawyers Rising Star ® 2020-2023.

Ms. Yunus earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton where she was the communications intern for the National Women’s Political Caucus in Washington, D.C. Through this internship, Ms. Yunus attended various political fundraisers, meetings with foreign ambassadors, and other important political events. Additionally, Ms. Yunus, who is bilingual English-Farsi, interned for two years for a Middle Eastern television station as their English language international news anchor, on a weekly, worldwide broadcast.

Ms. Yunus was a recipient of the Dean’s academic scholarship at Whittier Law School, and also interned at Whittier’s Children’s Rights Clinic, where she represented indigent, minor clients with special needs. Additionally, Ms. Yunus was an active member of the Whittier Law School Student Bar Association, a board member of the both the Iranian Law Student Association and the Middle Eastern Law Student Association, and a member of Whittier’s 1L Mentorship Program.
